Subita Hudson
I provide online mathematics tuition covering all 7 exam boards in the UK and worldwide.
Age is no barrier, 11 or 77 it’s never too early or late to seek support to pass a maths GCSE.
I work one to one or in small groups max 6 students working all aspects of the GCSE.

I’ve been a classroom teacher for over 10 years and a Head of Maths for the last 4 years, every year achieving amazing results.
I am passionate about my subject and want to share that joy and knowledge with my students.
I keep fit as I’ve just got a dog Solo, a highly active, Dalmatian.

My greatest joy is watching students blossom into ‘can do’ pupils rather than cannot do. And of course sharing my love and passion for maths. A maths GCSE will open doors to amazing jobs – let me help you with that!
Both my sons found maths easy but my daughter struggled. However, through hard work and perseverance she passed and it was seeing her struggle that made me decide to become a maths teacher. Through my teaching experience I have learned the following and this has fed through to my online teaching:
- There is always more than one way to approach a maths question/topic so I ensure that I teach the same concept in at least 2 different ways.
- I tailor the pace of the lesson to the students in front of me so we go as slow or as fast as you need
- I constantly revisit topics to ensure they have been understood and embedded
- I spend a third of each lesson looking at past exam questions from all exam boards
- I am available during the week for help with homework (if students are in school still)
- All lessons are video recorded and sent to each student after the lesson with any power points etc used in the lesson
- Having tutored alongside my classroom based teaching, I have seen a faster improvement in self-esteem and confidence in my tutored students.
- Watch here to see how we can best work together:
Subita is an outstanding and inspirational teacher with a proven track record of success at the highest levels for all of her students. Subita worked with my son throughout his GCSEs, where her personalised approach and high expectations gave him a new-found confidence and led to him to achieve the highest possible grade. Whilst being rigorous and challenging, she is also warm and supportive and students know that she understands the complexities that they may face – and that she cares about them – any student would be fortunate to be taught by Subita.

10 things you have taught me this year:
1) Never give up; if you keep trying hard work pays off!
2) Hard work gives you success so don’t expect to succeed without it.
3) Be confident in your abilities. The more confident you are the more likely you are to achieve.
4) Positivity! Stay positive – just because you may fail first time doesn’t mean you always will.
5) Never say I can’t do it – Say I can’t do it YET.
6) There is always more than 1 method to do things so find the one that is right for you.
7) Ask for help! If you ask you learn – if you don’t you might not.
8) Smile. No matter how hard your day has been a smile can make yours and someone elses a lot better.
9) Algebra. If you are in an exam and all else fails just try algebra and you’ll be back on track.
10) We are all human and we all forget things. Keep moving forward and don’t give up and you will succeed.
